The PID department’s accomplishments and successes are widely recognized. Students of session 2021, working under the guidance of Ms Mona Gulzar and Ms Aisha Hameed delved into the realm of 3D modeling for their subject. Their project centered around the creation of pre-fabricated seating stools, with a primary focus on enhancing functionality, ease of assembly and disassembly. Additionally, they infused artistic elements by incorporating multiple finishing techniques such as resin application, fur embellishment, newspaper collage, and Mandela art. The students conducted thorough investigations into materials, with a special emphasis on Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF), detailed joinery, and machining processes. These diverse design approaches catered to different audience preferences and resulted in designs that have aesthetically value, high craftsmanship and functional approach.
