Product and Industrial Design

The alumni of the Product and Industrial Design Department (PID), Faculty of Architecture and Planning, at the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore represent a dynamic network of creative professionals, industrial designers, entrepreneurs, researchers, educators, and innovators who are making significant contributions across national and international design industries. Graduates of the department have successfully established themselves in diverse fields including product design, furniture design, user experience (UX/UI), visual communication, packaging, manufacturing, digital media, automotive design, interior products, and creative entrepreneurship.

Alumni of the department are actively contributing to leading Pakistani and multinational organizations such as Systems Limited, Packages Limited, Adsells, Big Immersive, Ozi Technology, Tkxel, Netsol Technologies, Arbisoft, Tetrapack Pakistan, Outfitters, Bata shoes, services limited and various design consultancies, manufacturing units, and technology-driven organizations where design thinking and user-centered innovation play a critical role. Through their professional achievements and industry engagement, alumni continue to strengthen the reputation and academic legacy of the department while demonstrating the practical relevance of design education in addressing contemporary industrial and societal challenges.

In addition to corporate placements, alumni and current students of the department have also demonstrated strong entrepreneurial capacity by establishing independent startups, design studios, and creative ventures. These include i2c Company, Pastel Jade, Hoop Studio, Emberline Studios, Sofort – Pack It, Koncept interiors, DnB interiors abu dabi, along with other emerging ventures in product development, sustainable packaging, furniture design, digital fabrication, branding, and creative manufacturing. These startups reflect the department’s emphasis on innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-ready skill development.
