One day guest lecture has been arranged for the first year students under the subject of history of creative art and design.The session was arranged by subject incharge Ms. Neyalish Aman. It was based on the art, architecture and design innovations of the Delhi Sultanate. The instructor Ms. Abeera Khan highlighted the unique blend of Indo-Islamic architectural styles, emphasizing key structures like the Qutub Minar and the development of Islamic motifs in local art. The explanation of architectural features such as arches, domes, and calligraphy was described with visual examples. It was particularly helpful for Design students to understand how the Delhi Sultanate influenced the cultural landscape of India, blending Persian and Indian traditions. Overall, the lecture provided a comprehensive understanding of this important period in Indian history.
