We had the privilege of hosting a 2-day guest lecture by our PID Alumni of 2014 batch, Rija Sajid, who is working as a digital illustrator. The lecture was arranged by Ms. Anum Shamshad (Assistant Prof. PID department) conducted for the 2nd-semester students of the 2022 session. It was focused on the basics of digital illustrations for product designers.
Rija’s lecture provided a valuable insight into the world of digital illustrations and sketching, connecting physical media sketching to digital media art. The lecture covered various topics including the differences between digital art and computer-generated art or photo manipulation, software and tools that can be used, applications in media and business, application in product design, the future of digital art, and platforms to sell digital assets.
We hope this lecture helped our students to gain a deeper understanding of digital illustrations and how they can incorporate them into their product design projects.
Dr. Atif Bilal Aslam, Chairman of Product and Industrial Design, UET, Lahore. presented Rija Sajid with a certificate of appreciation as a token of gratitude for sharing her knowledge and expertise with the students.
